Steam turbine (ECT) generator set
In modern industry, some industrial tail gas or saturated steam with small volume and low energy is directly discharged as waste gas by industrial enterprises. The characteristic of ECT is that it can work with low-grade saturated steam and recover energy in the form of power generation or mechanical drive. It can be widely used in various industries. According to different process requirements, ECT units are available in back-pressure, pure condensation, extraction condensation, extraction back type and other models. The rated power range of a single unit is 30~5000KW. It can be flexibly designed and selected for users based on heat source parameters and process flow. The steam pressure that ECT can utilize is 0.3~11MPa (a).

working principle
- Steam is introduced from the inlet end to the turbine nozzle, where the pressure energy is converted into kinetic energy. The speed of the steam leaving the nozzle is about 400~600 meters/second.
- After the steam leaves the nozzle, it impacts the turbine rotor blades, performs work on the turbine, and the turbine rotor outputs rotating mechanical energy. The turbine rotor rotates at 12,000 rpm, which is reduced to the generator operating speed (3,000 or 1,500 rpm) through the gearbox, and then transmitted to the generator through the coupling, which converts it into electrical energy for output.
- After completing the work, the steam can enter the condenser to condense or enter the downstream production equipment to provide heat energy according to the needs of downstream production energy.
- ECT's control unit (PLC) controls the steam flow control valve and pressure control valve to adjust parameters such as the rotation speed of the turbine rotor and the steam pressure entering the production power to meet the steam requirements of the production power.

 


 

Six core advantages of ECT 1. Wide adaptability and high power generation efficiency - The ECT design combines the turbine working principle with turbocharging technology to make the flow channel size more consistent with the changes in the steam flow process, thereby reducing ineffective losses. - The impeller is specially designed to withstand exhaust steam humidity of 17%, which increases the effective enthalpy drop of the steam expansion process. - The impeller is a high-speed cantilever design and is compactly connected to the annular flow tube, effectively eliminating the influence of thermal stress.



2. The material is reliable and the impeller is resistant to water erosion. - Design, material selection, and processing ensure the strength of the impeller. - High-speed design (12,000 rpm), the corresponding impeller radial size is small, and the torque it endures during operation is small. - All parts in contact with steam are made of precipitation hardened stainless steel (17-4/13-8PH). The turntable and blades are milled from solid stainless steel forgings. The blades are strong, high-strength and durable.



3. Flexible application, quick start and stop - When starting up, it only takes 8 to 10 minutes to warm up the machine in the cold state and 1 to 2 minutes in the hot state. It can be started and stopped quickly, suitable for frequent operations, and can adapt to various changes in working conditions. - Each unit is individually designed according to the user's heat source parameters, so that the design working conditions are close to the actual operating conditions, so that the unit can maintain operation within the range of high-efficiency working conditions. - ECT has back pressure type, pure condensing type, extraction condensing type, extraction back type and other models, which can be used in various steam reduction, pressure reduction and steam emission situations. - It can utilize a minimum of 0.3MPa (a) steam, and the single unit power range is 30~5000KW.



4. The whole device is installed in the frame, and the installation is very convenient. - The turbine, generator and all auxiliary equipment are integrated on a frame body. The skid body serves as a complete unit and is assembled, aligned and tested in the factory. It only needs to be connected with steam pipes and other electrical facilities on site. - Single-story layout, simple factory structure. - The unit is installed on the anti-vibration support, which does not produce dynamic load on the foundation, and the civil construction foundation is simple.



5. Simple control and can be left unattended - The PLC control cabinet is integrated on the skid body and has a friendly human-machine interface. - The PLC built-in program can automatically control most operations of the ECT system, including start, run, stop, protection and monitoring. - The operation is simple and convenient, and it can accept commands input by the operator locally and remotely.



6. Small maintenance and low operating costs - Consists of 160 independent parts, easy to assemble. One or two people can handle most problems with ECT parts in a short time, and it has the reputation of "the easiest to maintain steam turbine". - Only need to change the oil once a year. - High reliability and service life of more than 20 years. - Since there is no need for major repairs or shutdown maintenance, the annual effective execution time is greatly longer than that of conventional steam turbines.
